Driving around at 10:45pm with no muffler - Anything wrong with that?

Ok, So I completely took of my exhaust system to my rx7. Its 10:40pm, and im thinking why not take it for a quick boot around the neighborhood. I get back to my place after about 2mins and like every single house i passed by has at least one person in their night robe on yelling at me! Im thinking wtf go back in the house, shows over. They all saying keep it down blah blah. Does anyone see anything really wrong with this? I mean its not the end of the ******* world. Its just a car, and its before 11pm. I need comments from fellow rx7 fans quick! My parents seemed to be the most pissed off, but I dunno its the last time im gonna get to drive it cause its under a salvage title now....And I took everything off so it wont even start anymore.

well now that it is getting darker, and we changed clocks, it will always be dark.

I don't see anything wrong with it, me and my friends to it all the time. my one rx friend is missing one muffler and we drive it at like 12. and the house we hang out at we all leave at the same time, and all 7 of us have modified exhausts. Yep the neighbors love us. So do the cops when all 7 of us are driving our vechiles in a row.

thirties wouldn't bother me to much either, but was using that as a metaphore for the pit bull. there are some nice looking women that are well beyond thirty, just they are married.

I know what you are saying about driving around late at night with a loud car. We test out the Project 86 when we do new stuff to it on Joe's block. They just don't appreciate a car that can drive by their house so fast, and shoot a nice thick flame out the back while making a pshhhhhhhhh noise from the BOV. We haven't been arrested, yet

When I had my Mustang GT, a buddy and me installed an H-pipe on it. When we had the stock one off, we took it for a spin. WOW, a V8 is loud as hell with just headers.

Yes, there is something wrong with that. Rotary engines with no exhausts are INCREDIBLY loud. Louder than any other type of engine. I can see how your neighbours would get annoyed. Hell, I would get annoyed at it to. Perhaps in the future you should show come consideration for other people, and only do stuff like that during the day.

Living at home are you?? That explains a lot.

Some day when you grow up and get your own place and some punk kid drives his stupid loud car down the street and wakes up your kids....Makes you want to get your gun!

It's this kind of inconsiderate behavior that give fast cars a bad reputation.

Just my .02

Any body can get a loud car. Takes tallent to make it Fast, without making it loud.

Wow nice job on getting your car fixed Aaron! I remember when it was in a wreck. It looked horrible from the pictures you showed us. Nice job man!

Who the hell are you to judge someone. I just moved back home at the age of 21 so I can start saving money for a racing school. Does that make me a punk kid too? I've put TONS of hours and lots of money in my car, and yeah its kinda loud, so apparently I'm just a stupid punk kid with a stupid loud car. Grow up.

Wait a minute here. I'm not saying that it was right for him to drive around at that time with his car being that loud, but I'm also not saying that it was wrong. Either way, I can guarantee you that there will always be a difference in opinion. I, personally, try to keep quiet as much as possible when I'm in residential areas, and have yet to be complained about or pulled over for excessive exhaust noise. I have Pacesetter headers, a Bonez mid-pipe, and an Apexi' N1 Dual catback and it IS LOUD. But whoever made the comment with the implication that a loud car is inferior to one that is the same but quiet is totally wrong. That, too is a matter of opinion. I happen to love my car just the way it sounds, and although at times it is polite to keep quiet, there are other times when it's fun to be loud. I don't make my car any certain way to suit the fancy of anyone but myself. All I'm saying is to put yourself in others shoes and be considerate of their beliefs or feelings even though yours may be different. This means keeping quiet past 8PM, and respecting the fact that there will always be people that think differently than you do, and in no way are you ever exclusively right about any such topic.

PEACE

-Derek

Personally, I don't see a difference in the time you are doing it. I work at night, and sleep during the day. I will show the same consideration that I am shown.

who cares if a loud car drives by your house at 10 30 or whatever.
its a different story if the person keeps driving around your house etc though.

i dont see why ppl r such ****** about it. with halloween coming up u guys will be going crazy. watch out for loud noise that night.

if u dont like the noise of cars move back to the ******* countryside.

yea i do the same when im in around alot of houses i try to keep the revs low.

If your neighbors houses have such poor insulation that a car (or stereo in my case about 9 years ago) can bother them suggest like i did that they buy a silencer and a bullet and stick a pistol in their mouth and get the hell out of my life.Oddly enough only the white people complained. Dumbass rednecks.
