I'll be over soon to do the new pilot bearing and I can take a look at this clutch.

 

Changed out the clutch disc and pilot bearing, checked throw out bearing and input shaft play. Put amsoil synthetic in trans. There was some metallic meterial in the old fluid, but I understand some is normal. The drain plug didn't have a large clump of shavings on it. Also put stock motor mounts back in instead of the competition ones to see if it would help, no difference. I am going to also put stock trans mounts back in now. Also noticed the vibration has caused my radio surround to crack in two different spots.

 

I am going to pull trans and flywheel again and take flywheel back to Atkins, noticed some fresh drilled holes on it like it had been balanced for a different setup before I got it.

 

Change the drivetrain with the one from turbo engine

 

Everything is turbo already.

 

Like I said, if this does not fix it I will take it apart and verify everything again. No problem.

 

Atkins exchanged my flywheel, the old one was certainly balanced for a different assembly. The vibration was decreased, and is different now. I currently have stock mounts on the engine and comp mounts on the trans, I think I am going to put the comp mounts back on the engine and stock mounts back on the trans so the gearbox isn't under stress. The vibration is still engine speed dependent, and gets worse the harder I accelerate. Cruising in gear at steady speed its fine, just accel or decel that it vibrates.

 

Oh, just in case anyone lost sleep over this, the vibration was caused by my exhaust. I finally finished welding it up and now that it dumps out the back and not under the seats, it drives like a Cadillac.
