Question driveshaft question!

i got a 1988 TII man. geabox, i know that a auto driveshaft is longer. but want to know is that the u joint on the auto driveshaft will fit into a man. box??

I didn't think that the U-joints were detachable. I guess I will just have to check. If the U-joints are the same, then the insertion should be easy.

That doesn't make sense, wouldn't you mean if the yolk can fit the T2 gearbox?

ok im putting a TII man gearbox into my 1gen so im cutting two driveshafts (s3 and s4) in half to make one that will fit. so i need the ujoint to fit into the gearbox!
so i need to know if a auto driveshaft will work coz that is all i can find at the wreaker!

The u-joints have nothing to do with it fitting in the tranny. The yolk and the flange is what you're looking at. And yes, the automatic yolk fits perfectly in a T2 transmission, the u-joints aren't going to matter because the u-joints aren't what connect the transmission to the driveshaft, it's the yolk.
