driveshaft Q....

its a 1989 GXL. we got all 4 bolts off, we just cant get the damn shaft to budge out of place. anyone have any tips on getting the driveshaft to actually come out??

have you tried prying on the flange a bit?

it should come off fairly easy....even the rusty *** 7's I've parted haven't fought me on a driveshaft flange too badly...

edit: make sure there's no reason why the driveshaft shouldn't slide into the tranny a smidge further before you pry...

Try spraying some PB blaster on the flange and tapping it with a hammer. It shouldn't be that hard unless you forgot somthing, I had no problems getting mine off.
