driveshaft issues

I am replacing the driveshaft in my car this weekend and was wondering if it would get rid of another problem. It is that the car will jerk forward a little while crusing below 40. It will also do this while decelerating slowly with the clutch engaged below 40. I just wanted to know if replacing the driveshaft would kill this problem also ????

Just thought I'd reply. Gotta say no. A driveshaft isn't going to cause the car to "jerk" forward, as you say, under 40 mph, even if joints are shot.
Sounds like a mixture problem. Possibly a vacuum leak. How does it idle??
