Drive shaft play? (video)

Trying to figure out a noise I get after a low speed decel then acel (clunk noise) and when I first let out the clutch (scrub noise). Is this play out of the norm? It seems to be about a 1/2 inch or so. It's also accompanied by a clunk.

Any thoughts?
Thanks

Drive shaft is TII tranny to NA diff (similar to the one they sell on Mazdatrix)
Rear end is 4.3 GTUs with probably a lot of miles on it

the play is normal, a squeak when taking off in 1st or reverse is usually a dry u-joint. a clunk is usually the front diff mount but could be the engine or tranny mounts, likely not in the drivetrain itself.

I have similar play in my drivetrain as well, just not as excessive. I have had my diff rebuilt but it still has the play. I have narrowed it down to what I think is play in the cv joints. I get the same input movement out of the diff that's put in by the driveshaft, but by the time it gets to the wheels, there is little or no movement. I've kinda given up on it since the half shafts can't be rebuilt and no one sells them for the Tll.
