Drill and tap, wtf?

What does this mean? Do I simply drill a hole in my front cover and insert a fitting or is it a more complicated procedure than that?

Drilling and taping is basically that.

You drill a hole slightly smaller than you need and then you insert the tap and create threads for whatever you are going to thread into the part.

To tap means to thread the hole you have drilled so something can screw into it. You use a tool that is made to tap the hole to the correct size found at your local hardware store.

Drilling and tapping is exactly what he said.

Drilling - Drill out the hold
Tap- Screw in a special bolt that cuts threads into the hole.

You need to TAP the throttle body to complete the TB mod, or else air will leak out the older butterfly rod openings on the side.

You can pick up tapping kit or whatever its called at canadian tire. Its a must to add to your toolbox.

Thanks, I'll run down to my local ACE and pick one of those up.
