draining clutch fluid

draining clutch fluid

ok so i need to drain my clutch fluid today. here are my questions. so do i jsut unhook the lines where it connects at the firewall and then pump the clutch pedal till its empty. then fill and drain again to get any crap that might be in there out.

have you done this do you know of any other details that might help me out. thanks matt22

the best way to do it is to get one of the brake bleeder pumps from autozone, pep boys, etc.

Stick the tube over the bleeder valve, open the valve a bit and then suck the fluid out. Fill 'er up and drain it out again.... it can get pretty messy pumpin the pedal like that!

Turkey baster.

Refill the reseviour, and bleed out whatever remains of the old fluid. When the fluid runs clear, you're done.
