well this is how i do it... rev it up to 7 grand dump the clutch, spen those things to get the worm. do a short spin after that. launch at 6000rpms and you should love the launch. oh ya and with those tires keep them at 35psi they work better when there at reg tire pressure....DO NOT LOWER THE PSI..
happy launchings

ahh I'm sorry That is wrong about not dropping the tire pressure

maybe on Nittos
but on my 255/50/16 BFG Drag radials
I drop the tire pressure to 15 PSI
(as recommended by everyone...hello)
high tire pressure = wheel hop = broken axles

I go thru the water box do a nice stand still burn out holding the brakes and giving it gas

Rev to 6k-6.5k start easing the clutch out so the drivetrain is engaged and last yellow let go clutch pedal then floor it
(no dumping the clucth!)

1.69 60' best = 11.72@118

Kabooski what kind of set up are you running on your T-II as far as the Turbo is concerned ? Also What kind of set up are you running for Fuel like injectors, pump,F.Rail, etc, etc,. Im looking to do a Microtech with a nice sized 60-1. Im basically looking to do the same setup you got which is 11's in the 1/4 mile and daily driven. Also how much does Rolo or CFT charge for a MT install, and tuning session, and how long does it take them to install the MT in my Turbo II ? As I live in Miami, and I would like to go there drop off the car, and have him install, and tune the car and give it to me ala "Turn key terror Stang Smokin 7".

Well the fun lasted for a while (2 1/2 months)
but I'm out of the performance game for a while
I sold almost all my performance stuff and will be using a stock upgraded turbo, intercooler etc
rolo is good but too agressive(a least in my case) with the tunning......I have a street car..not a race car
I want my car tunned as such

make sure you demand A/F 's in the mid-low 11's 11.4-11.5 for 12-14 psi

Mid 11's (11.4.1- 11.7.1) if you use race gas at 14PSI
low 11's or 10.8.1 if you plan to use pump gas

or better yet get a duel stage boost controller
10PSi for the street on pump gas and 14PSI+ for race gas

My car was in the 11.9's which was fine on race gas
but the minute! I used 93 I cracked a rear plate and who knows what else after I open the engine ......

Email them direct and ask them all that
rolo@centralfloridaturbo.com

I had a set of 222/50/16's, and I wasn't gutsy enough to burn them until you get little clumps of rubber ***** rolling off the tires.

My burn-out only lasted 2-3 seconds after rolling back into the water box.  After initial burn-out, I do a quick dry burn to get as much of the crap off the tire.

My launch was best at 5,000RPM, as this let the tires slip for a half second before hooking solidly.  I have a Centerforce DF clutch, and the car was making about 250hp at the wheels at the time.

Others will tell you to burn them for around 5 seconds, and this gets them very hot and sticky.  Launching at 6,000RPM is not surprising, as you have better stick.  This technique really kills the life of the drag radials, so keep that in mind.

these drag radials are already about gone, my friend is just giving me them cause he's getting new ones, and i need all the help i can get to run a 13.5 on 12 lbs

but hey, they still have contact patches, but they're getting low on tread but still track-usable.

A shitty 2.1xx - I was having camber problems in the rear that was hurting my 60' times really bad.  Prior to that, I was hitting consistent 2.2xx and 2.3xx on street tires with the bad camber problem.  So at least it was an improvement.

If you can still see the threads, you've got plenty of thread left.

Oh, and I didn't want to run anything below 20psi, as the nearest gas station was miles away, and I didn't have a portable air compressor with me.

Yes, I could've run faster, but these tires were also my daily driver set.
