door sensors unique?

The driver's side door sensor on my FC is broken in half. I'm talking about the little plastic piece inside the rubber part that detects whether my door is closed or not. I'm just wondering whether these door sensors are unique to FC's, or can i grab it off another mazda or maybe even another car? the problem is i couldn't find many FC's at the junk yards i've been to, maybe i should just buy the part, it can't be that expensive, eh?

And after getting a new "plastic piece", what needs to be done to install it? Is it as easy as cutting off the old sensor and connecting the wires to the new sensor? thanks in advance

Same switch found on most Hiroshima built Mazda's like the 323/protege, some pre-88 626s etc.

nah, it just unscrews and un-plugs.

Maybe 5 minutes to pull and replace one.
