door panel opinions/options
so my outside driverside door handle stopped working...so i took my door panel off and found the problem...but im faced with a new predicament...im kinda on a mission to get rid of all the black leather in my vehicle (the seats are getting racing seats but i mean the shift boot and door panels and small stuff like that) now should i
A- re upholster that middle part of my door panels to match the shift boot?
B- screw it just get some sheets of aluminum
C- just leave the door panels off and run gutted like most everythign behind the seats
im kinda torn, the door panels dont really weigh much at all and its low weight anyways...so do i want the racecar look of the aluminum or the crazy robtech look of an undisclosed fabric?

Your doing this for weight reduction?
I've gone the aluminum route and it wasnt pretty. plus its a lot of $$ to do it right
I would make a frame out of almuminum and cover it in cloth, then use a couple nylon wing nuts to secure it. Its lightweight and easy to take off to work on the door.

And the Revolution...
Bam, perfect. Just cover the aluminum with some sort of cloth and screw the handle back in. Preferably the same color as the handle. I've been thinking about that a whole lot lately. it won't match the flow of the dash very well but **** happens.
