door lock motor on both doors possible?

hey guys,

I am looking for some intel on door lock motors.

On my lhd s5 turbo i've got a mechanical door lock with a doorlock switch, and on the passenger side i've got a mechanical door lock system with an electric motor.

Is it possible to install a OEM door lock motor on the driver's side door aswell?

I have not looked behind the door panel yet, but i expect a door wire harness that is not meant for a door motor. Is it possible to get rhd door motor and harness for example?

Thank you

I installed a door lock actuator onto my drivers door and it was a universal one. It was a pretty simple install, it pulls/pushs the bar that goes to the lock. Both locks are controlled by my alarm.

How are you wanting to control your door locks (you want switches, when one door is unlocked by key that the other door will automatically unlock, or controlled via remote)?

A universal actuator, some wire, and a relay or two, and you have a fairly cheap mod.

I also installed an aftermarket actuator on mine... the hardest part was running the wires for it
