I have 91 rx7 with door handles who hate me. the drivers side handle wont open from the outside and the passenger side wont lock. And im having trouble finding a set of handles period. I was wondering if s4 door handles will interchange with a 91 rx7 perfectly?

 

Are you sure these handles are broken? You could pull off your door panels and check inside the doors and see if anything is broken. Check out the Haynes manual or FSM. The door locks and opperate rather simply with a series of connecting rods.

 

Im fairly sure 86-91 door handles are the same. When you have the door panels off it really isnt so complicated so inspect it with the panel off first.

About halfway down are the door handles. You'll notice in the Mazdatrix part number (which is nothing more than the Mazda part number rearranged) that the only thing different is the paint codes.

 

I was just at the Pull-A-Part in Winston-Salem last weekend and they had three FC's on the lot and if my memory serves me correctly, all of them still had door handles intact. They are located not too far off of I-40 on the east side of Winston-Salem. Depending on what else you need, it might be worth the drive from Durham to pick up the handles for next to nothing.
