i have a 1987 rx7....and the door handle broke...the outer driver side door handle. i have seen a few other posts about this from others...is it really common for the door handles to break on the rx7?

 

yes it is. you probably should have posted this in the 2nd gen forum, but the design of the handles generally leads to a retaining pin breaking off and causing the handle not to rotate the latch mechanism. good luck finding a replacement handle, it took me 2 months of junkyard runs and posting on the forums
