Can I get away with jb welding the 2 little holes? I really don't feel like spending $20 to get a proper block off plate just for 2 tiny little holes.

you might, but if they get sucked in its game over for your engine.
so go to a hardware store buy a piece of metal and cut your own out

I think it would be easier to go to an exhaust shop, and get them to weld the 2 holes shut. I don't have the time to cut my own out.

That's what I was thinking.. The pieces could break off and fall into the engine. To be completely honest before I made this thread I JB welded the holes shut. Then after I did it, I was like wait hey what if those chunks break off and go into the engine then im screwed. I started taking it off and it's kinda sad how easy its coming off, good thing I didn't leave it like that.

Few exhaust shops will be set up to weld aluminum.

Just get a little 1/4" steel, drill two holes and install.

But as long as the JB Weld was applied properly it should be fine.

Hell, I put some JB Weld on a quarter and slapped it over the holes on my 86 non turbo car yeaaaars ago. And the emissions people have not stolen it yet nor does it leak.

On one of the turbo cars I removed the air supply valve on the back of the intake manifold and put some five minute epoxy in the holes. Me? Worry? Never.
