Don't have access to a Mazda FSM: lowering and raising top on a Vert by hand!

Did a search and found lots of referrals to "as per FSM, I raised the top maunally." but couldn't find and pics of where to "insert screwdriver to disconnect motors"

I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction with a detailed write up of how to lower and raise the top manually. A picture would be GREAT of where to disconnect the motors.

Thanks!

Pull the spare tire cover off, and look toward the fender wells, and you'll see the motors. Once you see the motors and linkage it should be pretty straight forward.

See page 91 here....

Thanks! I appreciate that!

So to free it for manual movement, I'm freeing the clutch, correct?
