done with 5speed swap... but...cluth issues. ( ithink)

The car shifts fine and all of that. But when the car is already in gear. and i press on the gas, the RPM's rise, then fall again (the clutch is totally engaged), and I accelerate. Is the clutch slipping or whats goin on, its brand new. it does this in whatever gear. the car has been in gear for a while. i decided to press on the gas, and the RPM's go up, and then down while press on the gas before it actually accelerates, and it doesnt accelerate/grab like it should. Do i need something adjusted or what?
any advice is greatly appriciated.

Adjust the clutch pedal per FSM specs. IT is adjusted too far in, and has preloaded the throwout bearing, applying constant release pressure.

That, or you have a screwed up clutch or oil is getting onto it.
