Done 100K service, now I need new stuff ?!?!
OK, the 100K km service is done. Changed all that could be changed, flushed radiator, adjusted all that could be adjusted, fixed a number of little things, all's good (and the head honcho there said that a very few TIIs are as fast as mine
)
First issue: my old plugs were HORRIBLE !!! You should see them (too bad I dont have a dig.camera). All of them had 3 of the 4 quarters completely black, and various red spots (water/coolant)
Now I know I'm not "eating up" coolant, and the engine starts up fine every day (that is, no coolant inside the engine), so it must have been bad gas
So, new plugs for me
for 120 Euros
Second issue: my oil lines are dripping oil. Just a tad, but they are
The thing is that I asked the mechanics about metallic lines, and they said it cannt be done with a wankel, cause of the sudden rotation due to torque. They say that I can only either buy the stock ones (again), or manufacture simple rubber ones (reinforced, the same that are used for A/Cs). Now I know that a lot of you have steel oil lines, so what gives ?
Third issue: I will need back brake rotors pretty soon. Now I'm thinking about changing all four rotors to something else than stock. What's a good suggestion ? I know that Brembo has some good ones, but any suggestions ? They need to be vented of course, but better (for hard driving) than the stock ones...
Now that the Rex is fully tuned up, cannt wait to get the AC22 and time myself and the car
