Angry DOH! Engine Irregularities

ok, 2 problems probably related.

1. while crusing in say 5th just doin 65 on a strait road w/ the throttle in one place... the engine seems to every now and then not produce power for what seems to be 1 firing of the spark plugs. ie it just skipps for a split second.

2. Going from crusing w/ the clutch engaged to WOT, there is a 2 "studder" choke kinda. its hard to explain. when i punch it it jerks twice then goes about its merry way.... dont know.

ok, now for what ive tried. The engine only has 40k on it. the timing is still on and she's been well taken care of. Although... there is a contuous "honking", for lack of a better word, coming from the passenger's side when it is cold out side. I believe it is a vaccuum leak. anyone know if these are prone to being roasted by the turbo heat coming of the shield? or any ideas on whats goin on here?

Thanks
Troy

Check the TPS. Does it do it when you drive over bumps or only during certain times (like using the accelerator)?

The little "bumpity" does it when i just have the throttle in one spot. I tried it out on a smooth road just to make sure it wasnt bumps in the road. and it does idle well. and the 2 chokes come one when i am acclerating like a normal person then go to WOT, or when im crusing and go to WOT.
