Exclamation Does your topmount heat up heaps??

Hi just curious to know if everybodys topmount intercooler gets really hot, because I just put on a turbo hood and still my topmount is pretty hot almost to hot to touch after a spirited drive. It just seems quite ineffective.
please share your thoughts.

All IC's heat soak at low speeds.

TMIC's need more forward speed to cool than FMIC's.

It does the job it was designed to do 200hp to the flywheel it cools that....

Ask more from it it heat soaks bad. At speed it indeed works but not well.

When I do a run with my Greddy fmic the temps actually drop...stock tmic never did that.

Do you still have the rubber seal that seals up between teh hood and the intercooler?

Considering you'd have to pay to run all the piping, your best bet would be to just pick up a fmic. If money's an issue, try to find a sabb 9000 fmic.
