Does this sound like a reasonable turbo setup?

-TO4E .60 v trim .96 ptrim
divided/ on center with divided HKS cast manifold
-tangential housing(so wont have problems hitting frame rail)
- i know theres supposed to be specs for the exhaust side, what specs do i need?

sorry if it don't sound right but i searched for 2 hours already.... trying my best to figure out what i want..

Just a turbo that spools quickly making 350rwhp still not sure what the exhaust side means and what the hell does a/r mean?

hks makes a divided manifold as well??

the .96 ptrim is the exhaust size.

lots of poeple use a 60-1 intake instead of the v trim.

"TO4E 60" (take out the period) and "V-trim" are mutually exclusive.

im not sure if hks makes divided, if they dont who does make the divided manifold? i just heard it flows better, and i just wanted a v trim because i read it spools up fairly quick...i went to lateshiftengineering for more info and i seen the t04e and i know now the .60 is for the compressor a/r....what should i use for the turbine a/r?it doesnt list .96....

thanks

I myself still doing searches for the t04 family

on a full t04 set up (not hyrbid) is a stand alone virtually mandated or is it possible to get by with a bandaid SAFC with 1300cc secondaries and 720cc primaries?

Talk to dc350 (Dale Clark, in Pensacola). He's running a full T04 with the stock (S4, even) ECU + SAFC + AIC + MSD + every other TLA there is

turbo set up

Go with a T04e 60 compressor wheel, .60 A/R compressor housing, wet center, .84 divided tang. (STAY AWAY FROM ON-CENTER HOUSINGS) "P" trim turbine wheel. This will be the exact set up I will be running. Quick spool and good top end with no problems reaching 350 rwhp. Some will say .84 is too small, don't worry, its still MUCH larger then the tiny stock turbine housings and should offer a quick spool and still flow good at the top. Most recommend .96 undivded or 1.0 divided, this will give excellent top and 400rwhp potentual but spool up will suffer. If you do decide to go .96 undivided, your boost will most likely not come online strong till around 3200-3500 rpm,s or maybe later depending on your porting configuration. Turbine housing size is just prefference and what you intend your car to do. For quick spool, which is best for auto cross and street driving go .84 divided. But like I said, with the larger housing you can make more overall power on the top.A/R is aspect ratio of inlet area and radius of the housing. Larger the a/r the more flow, but slower the spool rate. The compressor housing a/r isnt as critical, but larger a/r on the cool side tend to have peakier power delivery.

My $0.02
