Does milage have an effect on performance?

Heres the line up;

My car;
1987 tII
145k miles (on motor)
rb turbo back and FCD
Walbro fuel pump (rewired)
Apexi SAFC (untuned) 67-70% airflow
94 octane

His car;
1988 10th an
31k miles (on whole car)
rb turbo back and FCD
Modified airbox w/ k&n drop in
Apexi SAFC (untuned) 67-70% airflow
93 octane

Why is MY CAR faster? If anything I would have thought that my car would be slower because of the wear and tear on the engine. Next week we are both going to get our cars dyno tuned for accurate comparison. OH My car now has a larger turbo on it, but even before my new turbo, my car was faster.

How much boost are each of you running?

No one believes what little I have done and how many miles my car has on it once they ride in it

I was running 9psi in all gears with the stock turbo and ported w/g. now I am running 6-7 with the new turbo but again I was faster than his with my old turbo.

He is running 6psi in 1st gear, 8 psi in 2nd, and 10 psi in third. Does this sound ok?

You know I read somewhere that when a rotary engine is about to blow, it actually gets more powerful due to less friction. is this true? Maybe I'll blow it up soon.

INCORRECT

More friction = less oil
less oil = worse seals (no thin film)
worse seals = LOWER compression
lower compression = poor preformance

You do the math .
