The reman is a SHORTBLOCK, they don't change it. You have a S5 you shouldn't worry about your pd going unless you see it leaking.

The fuel rails are not part of a mazda reman engine.

they fail just as often as the s4, but you're stuck replacing a whole fuel rail instead of the damper itself.
