Does anybody have this switch?

I got a '88 GTU from the auction and I noticed a switch on the driver's kick panel and was wondering if this is something that is suposed to be there? It is a little toggle type switch. There is no alarm on the car but it has the security light in the console. Haven't messed with it yet, thought I would ask here first. Thanks!
