Does a 91 convertible transmission/driveshaft/rear end fit my 90 gxl
So I bought this convertible shell in hopes of doing a manual conversion for my 90 gxl. Is the tranny going to fit? Do the convertibles have many differences in the drivetrain?

you mention conversion, i assume you have an auto? that's a more important question than if a series 4 will fit into a series 5.
in any event the answers are still all yes, but the issue is the transmission mounts, as they are all different in both those scenarios. so you either will have to get the crossmember from the S4 with the S4 tranny or fabricate a mount for the auto conversion or weld in new mount pads to your chassis for the manual.

Ok so I have 90 gxl auto. I bought a 91 convertible shell manual. My plan is to swap the rear end in with the transmission and the driveshaft. My concern is that the transmission might not clear the frame because of the convertible differences. I am aware that no matter what I am going to have to fabricate metal plates that I'll need to mount the transmission. Also, will there be a problem with the existing wiring harness and ecu? Can I do a manual swap and still leave the Ecu/wiring harness that came in the automatic?

Ok, so next question, I went to check and see if it has a lsd, and I jacked it up and turned one rear wheel. Only that wheel spins! Then I tried the other one, that one also spins alone. They both rotate the driveshaft though so I'm confused as to why that happens. I thought they both have to spin together. Does this indicate that the rear end is bad? I have literally no reliable info on the history of the vehicle either.
the engine is not currently connected to the transmission. My guess is this might be why the wheels dont spin?

Ok so I just looked and I discovered it has blue tokiko shocks! What are these? Are they worth installing over my stock suspension? The ones my car comes with have a street/sport mode already. The blues look like they drop the car a couple inches over stock. Also I was able to get a picture of the differential with the numbers on it. Can anyone tell me if it's a lsd or not?
