Does an 89-91 or 86 shifter fit on an 88 properly?????

If I remember right, the 89-91 shift **** wont fit right on the 86-8 shift stick. But an 86-8 shift **** will fit on an 89-91 shift stick. In any case, if you get both the **** and the stick from either year they ar interchangeable. For instance, yu can put an 89-91 stick and **** onto an 86-8, and vice versa.

 

I am not talking about the shift **** I am talking about the actual shifter shaft itself....

 

Thats what I just said...the shift stick, shaft, whatever, are interchangeable. The ***** are not interchangeable between shafts. Got it?

remember the 86-88 shifter is taller, so if you use a 86-88 on a 89-91, the arm rest will be too low on the 89-91.
