Do turbo springs "age"?

1990 turbo
I can buy used RB springs and koni shocks/struts for $450.
I've read the RB springs lower the car.
I like the ride height of the stock turbo springs, however, the car leans a tiny bit to the left.
Should new shocks/struts fix things, or do springs actually get saggy?
Thanks,
steve

Springs can get saggy in an older car, but you tend to only notice it in heavier vehicles (ie trucks). A leaning car may be an indication of some earlier frame damage rather than saggy springs. How much lean are you talking about?

i believe the lean is a pretty common issue. matter of fact of the last 4 fc's i owned only one didnt lean to the drivers side. never really looked into it. it was an 87 TII with stock suspension original. my 91 coupe sure does a little. i believe that there was a thread about this some time ago one here.
Absolutely, they get shorter and softer. It's not only on heavy cars, it happens to them all.

all of my older cars have leaned to the drivers side, it makes sense, you always have to have a driver but not true for passengers. after 20+ years, how would you feel if you had one arm that was 50lbs heavier? suspension definitely ages.

The lean is hardly noticeable.
What I'm really trying to decide, is whether the original springs have generally sagged/lowered to the point they're about where fairly new RB springs (1" or so lower than brand new).
thanks,
steve

Most people with 20+ year old springs don't see a very noticeable change with a 1" drop. Due to the old springs are sagging, and in essence have "dropped".
All suspension components will age. Just take a wire coathanger for example. Bend it back and forth in one spot long enough and it will snap.

Although I have only owned my car for 2 years, I have known it for almost 10. It used to sit alot higher than it does now. Judging from the pictures of its younger years it seems to be about an inch lower.
If youre considering the RB springs, the drops is very close to stock.
I have them on my car and the drop is almost non existant compared to my sagged turbo springs.
The ride is sportier, but not jarring also.
