there are some for sale if that's what you really care about. i'm sure someone has the link. i dont know how many came with them from the factory, but there are folding mirrors for FCs. there was a thread with pictures before. some people dug em, others didnt. i liked them. i thought they looked similar to mirrors on 3rd gen integras.

one of my buddies is a jdm honda guy and he just got his folding mirrors to work, he was curious if the j-spec 7's had them. I wouldnt really want folding mirrors, that just asking for more to go wrong IMO

They don't all fold via power. The ones I've looked at were manual folding but power mirrors. Most Japan luxury cars have them . I haven't seen an FC with power folding side mirrors. Maybe it's an option .
If you've ever been to Japan, you'll realize why sometimes it is a necessity.

in japan they need them, because when they park, they can be folded due to the small street size, its madatory for any car in japan.

everybody says that, but they dont have gullwing doors. i dont see how a mirror folding in helps any unless you crawl out the trunk. open your door, it opens further than your mirror sticks out.
this has been covered before. only thing i see is when driving through narrow lanes, but thats not parking. please, someone, draw me a diagram of how foling in mirrors help parking.
for the record, i like folding mirrors (dont dislike em at least), i just dont see the point. i mean, i've parked REAL close to people, we all have, but who said "oh no, i hope my non folding in mirror doesnt hit that car"? that would be the same person that opened their door and dinged the other. "shwew, my mirror is oookaaay."
BUT parking in the street is different. i'm referring to parking lots/parking garages. on the street i could see a use, moreso. it'd be funny to see a Hummer with fold-in mirrors. its two feet wider than all the other cars parked, but damnit, gotta fold in those mirrors!

Yeah some are manual....
Even Shitbox's like suzuki wagon R's had power mirrors though..
Its actually a really nice feature when the spots are narrow, and all the cars tend to have the same mirror height, and sometimes you damn near have to crawl out the window... But some of the parking methods are alot different than here, cars get pulled onto ramps, turntables and what not, and anything sticking out, gets ripped off...Max

I can fold mine back, and they seem to almost be spring loaded. But i thought you were talking about being motorized. Like flip a switch and they swing back.
