Do i really need to "pin" the motor???

I'm doing a 13b-re swap in my FC and was wondering if i really do need to pin the motor or use the oversize stud kit that mazdatrix sells. I'm looking to push over 400hp and i'm getting mixed answers on to do it or not.

on an RE? not at that power level. The RE already has the beefy irons. Just don't make a habit of detonating your engine.

i've ran multiple re's at power from 300-375 and have never had a problem with cracking a housing or even warrant the need for re-doweling the motor.
