do I need a new trannsmission?

Here's my problem, It grinds into 2nd and 3rd if I shift above 4500rpm. I've been assuming I need a new one, but after searching and reading it seems like it could be a bad throw out bearing, Or the fluid needs to be drained and refilled.

I just realized I'm really stupid for not trying to change the fluid already, but if I do need a new tranny, how much will it cost, or maybe a rebuild, or used but good condition??????

First try Redline MT-90. It's magical stuff. At the very least, it shouldl buy you some time if the tranny does need replacing.

Don't know about the throw-out bearing - my first thought is burgered syncro-mesh.

Redlines Oil had mysteriously cured my grinding Into gears, In particular the Infamous notchy 2nd gear. It's caught up to me now. Quite simply, my Tranny Is fucked right now...
