Do I need a new engine?

I've got a "90 vert with 160k miles. The engine forces air into the radiator. A radiatior guy told me that the pressure was too high, and that was the reason. I have a new radiator and thermestat so they aren't the problem. In the morning I have to fill it up with coolant and as long as I don't so too much driving, I'll usually be allright. But if I do, the "add coolant" light comes on. It's because all the coolant gets forced into the coolant resevior and after that, it gets pushed out the overflow nozel. The radiator is always empty but the coolant resovior is always full. A couple months ago I was raising hell on the freeway and when I got off, my upper radiatior hose exploded. If I do need a new or rebuilt engine, does anyone know of a place in southern california where I can get it done for less than $3000?

"add coolant" = "add motor"

in most cases, from what you are describing yes the motor sounds dead.... Get a mazdatrix rebuilt they are really top notch...Signal hill cali.. www.mazdatrix.com

his coolant seals are gone or he has a cracked iron housing. he doesn't need to buy a rebuilt motor, he can get that one rebuilt, assuming the internals are still good. if it's a cracked housing it can be replaced when it's gets rebuilt.

Give this a shot before you rebuild your engine, nothin to loose and has gotten some good results!

Thank you, but water's not leaking into my engine, air's being forced into my radiator.

combustion gases are getting into your cooling system causing the water temp to rise? it means coolant seals are failing or you have a cracked housing.
