Do i need a HKS F-Con to tune SAF-C????

i called Rick's Rotary in Pleasonton, Ca and asked if he could tune my SAF-C. well Rick recommended that i get a HKS F-Con as well. my question is, what is the benefit of having the F-Con if i have a SAF-C already installed?

I think you misunderstood. I think he recommends the F-Con over the Safc. I don't know much about the F-Con but I think F-Con stands for Fuel Controller. So the F-Con and the Safc should do exactly the same thing. It one or the other so there is no benefit from having both of them.

wats ur mods? yea i have heard the fcon is better. but itsd not at user friendly. the safc II is a decent piggy back...depends on ur goals...standalone is always the best. but a lot of people run safc's and upgraded injectors and a walbro..puttin 240 to the wheels..boosting from 10-12lbs

the fcon can only be used with the stock injectors. However I think you can have it programed for larger injectors but not positive. You can't really tune it unless you buy the GCC which is a few hundered extra. Im also pretty sure that you have to have the stock turbo. Essentially the FCON is for a fairly stock car with preprogramed maps that you dont actually tune yourself. WIth what you are running I would say a standalone would be your best bet, and if you cant afford it then a SAFC. Another thing I never understoof about the fcon is its cost, it costs $1200 or something new.

You can have it tuned ONLY by someone who is experienced in the matter, do NOT open it and mess with the adjusting screw, it will give you mixed results. I am sellingf my HKS PFC FCOPN with boost sensor for $300 obo if your interested in one.
