Do I need a front counter weight to swap Tranny?

Hi,
I am going to swap a S4 TII full drivetrain into my S5 N/A. For now, I am keeping the N/A motor. I know that I need to use a S5 TII flywheel so that the starter can reach the flywheel, but I am not sure about the weights of the TII flywheel compared to the N/A flywheel.

Mazdatrix has the N/A flywheel at - 21lbs
and the TII flywheel at - 23 lbs.

Do I need to change out the front counterweight to use the S5 flywheel? If yes, is there another stock flywheel I can use so that I do not need to change out the front counterweight?

Any help please? I know ppl have done this swap before. And I'd rather not spend a fortune for an aftermarket light flywheel.

stock flywheels have a built in counterweight. You can get a counterweight, if you need one, from an auto tranny setup.

EDIT: BTW I am doing the same thing pretty soon too I think

Just check the front counterweight part number and make sure they match.

ah ok I see what you're saying. The counterweight INSIDE the engine. I am not sure if you will need to change that.

So does anyone know for sure that the S5 TII flywheel will NOT upset the balance of the whole N/A setup (rotors and front counter-weight)?

the counterweights are the same per series.

series4 block = series4 flywheel

series5 block = series5 flywheel

i believe turboII or NA doesnt matter as long as they are from the same years (series4 or series5)
