do i even need one a BAC?

i have a question, i have neither power steering nor working AC, do i even need a BAC?


i think its giving me idle problems

can i just remove it and plug up the holes?

Yes. The BAC compensates for any load on the engine and regulates the idle. There's no good reason to remove it.

i know but theres nothing to add load to the engine, i do, however, believe that it is causing idle problems

So you removed your alternator too?

To give it a try, just eliminate (bypass) the BAC and see what happens. Unbolt the BAC and slide a piece of gasket between the BAC and manifold, naturally covering the manifold opening. Attach BAC and give it a try. You should be fine if only electrical-alternator draw, and idle is high enough.
