Do 13bs have timing belts??
It never crossed my mind before until the timing belt on my new daily gave out on me today(mazda miata 1990 NA) but 13bs don't have timing belts correct? Or do they??

No complicated head like piston engines means no need for a belt to drive a complicated head. Rotaries have ports that just constantly feed on air and fuel.

According to this guy we have timing chains lmao



(it's actually an oil pump chain tensioner from a 12a I have been told)

there is a chain but it doesn't time anything, simply drives the oil pump.

the old old 10/12A engines actually did have a tensioner for the oil pump drive chain.

I knew we didn't have a chain for any kind of timing so I knew the seller didn't know anything of rotaries but I wasn't sure if this was motor specific cause he lists it for all motors lol
