DIY turbo rebuild?

Hey whats up guys, i need to find a place where i can get a rebuild kit for my s5 turbo. Anybody know of a place.? My budget is microscopic or else i would just send it somewhere. I REALLY only need an oil seal, BUT figure its a good idea to just fully rebuild it. lemme know, thanks a heap.

If you want to rebuild it yourself assuming the core is good. i think it will only cost around $100 + how much it costs to get it balanced with a t3/t4 rebuild kit.

I remember someone telling me this kit works with s5 turbo but i would double check to be sure.

BNR does really good rebuilds. They are $325 with rebuildable core.

If your budget is microscopic and you don't wanna rebuild it yourself by a used one. I have an S4 turbo laying around if you are interested. I think used turbos typically sell from $120 and up depending on if they are stock or upgraded, when they were last rebuilt, etc. You may even be able to find it cheaper then $120.

Your most likely not gunna be able to find individual bearings and seals for these turbos at least i have never seen them. While you have the turbo apart too i would change out as many seals as i could anyways just for longer turbo life. Heres another site this one is for S4 turbos.

You can rebuild your turbo with a Garrett T3/T04 rebuild kit for the "carbon" seal for the compressor. So really you gotta look for Garrett T3/T04 rebuild kits or seals , bearings, etc. Don't forget on top of all of this you should really have the turbo balanced too.

Honestly if you budget is that microscopic then you really need to be looking at buying a used turbo that is good or consider saving a little more money before rebuild your turbo. You are gunna wanna do it right the 1st time that way your not doing it again in a month.
