diy motor install?

So I have a 88 t2 shell that I'm putting a motor and trans in soon. I'm somewhat a diy'er so I'm looking for a write up of some sort to help guide me with this install..Im not planning on hooking everything up myself but I would like to drop the trans and motor in myself just to try and save some money. Any help or links would be great

Download the Factory Service Manual (FSM) in the 2nd Gen FAQ.
Get yourself a haynes manual. both have everything you need to do it
