disconnecting turn signal wires



Is is there a trick to disconnecting these plugs? I can’t pull them out for the life of me. Are they just stuck or am I doing it wrong?

Push in the two ends towards each other and then twist and pull apart to release.

by the way that wire is not stock.(that blue wire)
