CA Disabling Sock S5 Alarm

Hi guys,

I recently had a Haltech E8 installed in my 89 GTU dedicated track car. Now that the Haltech is installed my stock alarm likes to go off when I turn the ignition key. Although I don't really understand why the install was the trigger, before the Haltech install I never had this problem. Since this is a dedicated track car I am absolutely fine with disabling the stock alarm completely.

After doing some searching it looks like the way to disable a stock S5 alarm is to pull the middle plug on the CPU in the driver's kick panel next to the fuse box. Is anything else I would care about that will also be disabled using this method? Is there a better way to do this? My car no longer has horns or stock seat belts and I don't care about the ignition key light.

Thank you,

jason

be sure to bypass the anti theft module underneath the coil pack (the closer one to the firewall) so that you can start your car when something goes wrong.
