Before you guys go spending a ton of cash on new alternators and headlights - reground the headlights!
Engine and harness grounds wont help you here. You need to get a small peice of wire and make sure that the actual negative wire that plugs into the headlight is grounded properly. This is a major problem with old cars - almost every winter car I have owned had to have this done to it in order to get light. It is quick and inexpensive. Once you are certain that the grounds are sound - then go get some H4's.
