Differentail drain/fill plugs wrench sizes?

I was going to change my differential fluid, but had problems when trying to find a wrench that fits the drain and fill plugs. What size wrench do you need for each? My wrenches only go up to 7/8" and 21mm, and they are too small. And my adjustable wrench wasnt bugding the bolt, and i didnt want to strip it. I'm guessing 23mm for the fill plug and 24mm for the drain? Thanks for the help

I thought I used a standard actually, even though it is a metric head. I'm pretty sure its smaller than 23, but im not sure.

fill and drain are the same size, 22 or 24 mm iirc. When I took mine out, they weren't in there super tight, so i wouldnt worry about stripping them if you're using a crescent wrench or channel locks. Just use your common sense, if you are STARTING to strip with those hack tools, then stop, instead of continuing like iv'e seen so many people do.

they're 24mm, just did it 3 weeks ago. Same size as the axle nuts - mine's an 87 but I don't think it makes a difference there
