I dont know of any, besides the fact that you can get Turbo's in 87, and not 86... both are series 4, same body styling and interior and performance I think?

The biggest difference between the 86 and 87 is that the 87 model year had a blue/white clock instead of the red/orange clock found in the idiot warning panel. Other minor differences include the rear glass mounting is slightly different in the frame, and the rear storage bins became standard on more models.

That and as mentioned above the T2 became available.

its been swapped with a 87 if it is the same style other than having a blue clock (non- blacked out lights).

There are actually a lot of differences with the '86 cars, mostly small, subtle things.

- Orange clock
- Orange tint odometer/tripometer numbers
- Different scale oil pressure gauge
- Radiator overflow tank near underhood fuse box
- aluminum hoods SEEM TO BE more common

That's off the top of my head - there are a few more things. The '86s are kinda weird.

Most of it is just subtle, simple things. There's nothing about an '86 that really makes it more or less desireable than any other 2nd gen.

Hmmmm... Tallin huh? That's a great town! I was there in '99 when I had to be in Helsinki for some meetings (I work for Nokia) and I took the ferry across and spent the day there.

p.s. Estonia was the only place I have every been where they actually REALLY looked at my passport- had me worried for a few minutes! The folks were nice and friendly, and the food and beer were GREAT.

Look at both series Idiot Cluster. You will see that the display features don't line up. Even for that matter, the Lense Is opposite angles within the series.
