Difference between these two Koyo's?

I want to buy a Koyo for my s5 TII. I checked Ebay and there seems to be two different types. A standard #r1144 and a "N" flow tech. #r1144n. What's the difference?

The N-Flow radiator is a dual-pass one, the standard Koyo is not. The standard Koyo looks like and fits like stock, the N-Flow has the tanks on the sides and the inlet/outlets are both on the right/passenger side.

Yes, then you can use the stock hoses.

Probably-I actually sold my new standard Koyo and bought the N-Flow off eBay. I haven't mounted it yet-it's supposed to fit in the stock location w/bosses welded on the side tanks.

The standard one is definitely easier to go with though-you can get the newest Black Magic Extreme efan (3300cfm) and the shroud should fit perfect. I'm having to modify that shroud to get it to fit the smaller core of the N-Flow

Dual pass makes the coolant go through one way and then back the other before going back into motor, extra cooling for racers or people with big turbos/FMIC/A-C condensor/P-S/etc. worried about running hot.

Probably not needed, especially if you don't have A/C-P/S etc. I just like to overbuild something so when it breaks I can wonder why the hell it did happened...

I've never seen anyone with a standard koyo that has had any cooling problems that are radiator related. I would say that the standard, that bolts straight on and uses the stock hoses, is a better idea.

If they are about the same price go for the one that cools better. That way you will know that if you ever take it to the track/run hard/or w/e you know that it shouldnt over heat unless your water pump kicks the bucket. But that just my 0.02

It's definately more than the radiator or wp if you want to keep temps down on the track. every part of the coolant system should be done right especially the ducting to the radiator.

The N-Flow one was only $6.00 more than that shipped from ebay-$26.00 more with a high pressure cap included-unless they've gone up since then...
