difference between lsd and regular

how do i tell the difference between the lsd and regular differential without taking it apart?

an LSD will have a tag on it, on the fill plug, sayign it's LSD (if it's an RX-7 diff)

Otherwise, lift the rear end of the car up, turn one wheel. If the opposite wheel turns the same way, it's LSD, if it turns the opposite way, it's an Open Diff.

ok heres the deal..my car has lots of mix n match parts..and i think i might have an lsd that is so worn out that its slipping and causing my car to vibrate and surge and ****...soif its that worn, then the wheel turning test wont really help much...and..it has 126k miles on it..so i dunno about a tag...thanks tho
