Diff gears or something else?
S4 TII diff
with a ls1/t56
Strange problem and I searched damn near every thread I could find
No hard driving or anything. Parked the car and when I pulled it out a few days later
-Drives straight fine, no noises or anything, even when spinning the tires
-When turning at low speeds the diff is acting almost like a locker, inside wheel is breaking loose but in intervals, not constantly.
-The whole drivetrain feels as if it is preloading and releasing. The rear subframe seems like its shifting to the left and right when the "release" happens
-There is a thud/clank each time the wheel breaks free and the steering wheel feels as though it wants to pull straight.
So if feels like a locker, but its not supposed to? The whole drivetrain just feels as though its getting held up when turning, then releases to the inside tire.
Could it be the spider gears in the diff? or something else?
