diff between high a nd low impedence?

what is the performance differences between high and low impedence? how can i test my injectors to tell if they are high or low? i do not believe they are stock, but if they are i am driving an 87 t2...what would they be stock?

No performance difference. Just the say the wiring/ecu is set up.

IF you know anything about stereo systems, its like having DVC subs. IF you set 2 of them for high impedance, the amp sees normal load on one channel if you run them in parallel. IF you set them for low impedance, the amp sees too much load on that same channel, so therefore you have to split them up to decrease the load or burn up the amp.

Mazda used resistors inline with the low impedance versions to keep the load at 13 ohms to the ecu. IN 88 they went to high impedance injectors and got rid of the resistors totally. Those injectors were 13 ohms themselves, so the ecu still saw 13 ohms. The ecu's are the same for either setup(they ahve different numbers but are interchangeable) but the injectors and harnesses are different. ITs 2 ways of doing the same thing.

IF yours is an 87 it is low impedance. 2.5-3 ohms from terminal to terminal on the injectors. 87 t2 LI injectors will be tan with a square top and a notch centered in the middle of the bottom edge.
