HAHAHA! Only the US S5's have the stupid automatic belts. Mine is pure manual.

I disagree that the S5 sucks. They're newer, and that in itself is alot. I've never seen a stockish S4 that was in anywhere near as good condition as mine. 3-5 years is a long time for a car to age, especially when the 86 S4's are getting on 20 years old. mine's still only 14 years old. That's a big difference! The S4's all seem to have crappy paint, rust, bad interiors and look much rougher in general.

They look so much better, they have better engines, and have the same suspension. The extra weight can be easily changed with some stripping.

I could have gotten an S4 for less than half of what I paid for my car, but I've never regretted it. It's been super reliable and it's in amazing condition (the brand new factory rebuilt engine about 2-3000km's before I bought it cost 85% of what I paid for it, so it was a bargan)

I kinda have always perfered my old S4 to my S5. The S5 looks a million times better but the S4 was always more fun to drive. It doesn't help that I've been chasing problems in the S5 since I got it. Still can't redline under a load .
Technically it is illegal as all 90 and later vehicles are supposed to have SRS for the driver, But a functioning seatbelt system that doesn't move is more important to me than a broken moving one, or a the federal law on it.

Yes, I am comparing new vs vew... now granted while most of the people were only 1 year old when the FC came out and would have no clue of what the car was like new, a properly restored S4 is better (IMO) that a restored S5.

And with the exception of the verts, the paint when new on the S4 models (except the 10thAE) was radically better, and much less prone to peeling of the clear and color coats.
