Detonation

I have an egt gauge and is reading 1400f at wot that's with the probe
at 6 inches from the turbo. Is this a good temperature because the other day i heard a little bit of detonation so i backed off the throtle
and i don't know why is it doing that
My t2 mods are 3 inch custom exhaust gtx ported turbo,walbro,2 extra 550cc,safc,blitz dual sbc,tilton clutch,accel 8.0 cables,stock i/c.
That's the reading i get with 15psi,any ideas

at 15psi your timming is probably to far advanced with the stock ecu. and you should NOT be running 15psi on the stock IC.

1400F is too cold...you're running too rich, and the engine is hesitating from too much fuel.
