dent in door
There I was, waiting for traffic to clear so i can merge into traffic. All the sudden, *thump*... a lady in a mini van backed into my passenger door.
The damage- a bumper shaped indention. (will post pics after i wash the car)
my question is, the slight dents. How do you remove them.... coulda claimed on her insurance, but i see it as a chance to learn some body work.

claim it on her insurance....
But now that you've **** and fallen back in it, pull the door panel. Get a heat gun or hair dryer and heat the paint (don't want it to crack). Don't let it blister either. Push the dent out from the back side. Smooth it and massage it out with something smooth and curved. Get out a buffer and some polishing compound (anything but Turtle Wax) and buff out the inevitable scratch.

claim it on her insurance anyway whether you do the work or not...simply put she's at fault and is on the hook for repairing it! Might as well get a check for the repair, whether you repair it personally or not is your choice, not the insurance company's choice and don't let the insurance company tell you otherwise!

paintless dent removal is not a skill you can pick up first go. you will more than likely end up putting filler in(bondo i think is what you might call it, we just call it bog.haha) then requiring primer and paint.
