Delrin Front Control Arm Bushings; Do you need to machine anything?

In order to use the various delrin front control arm bushings do you need to machine the two small barbs off the stock control arm before pressing the delrin bushing on?

try a long bolt with 2 big washers and a nut.
you tighten the nut with the big washer and it acts like a press in a way...
